ELEKTROMAG Hand-held metal detector is used to detect the presence of ferrous and non-ferrous metals during security checks. It will serve the needs of the defence services, police establishments, prison security, factory security, V.I.P.'s Airport customs, bank security and other applications such as international sports meets, conferences, political gatherings etc.

Metascan-HD Hand-held metal detector begins search when the Red push button is pressed. An LED on the detector indicates that the search operation is "ON". An alarm is activated on detection of any metal during the search alerting the operator.

The detector can be set to any predetermined thresh-hold level and remains perfectly tuned during the search.

The detector operates between the temperature range of 15 deg. C to 60 deg. C and at humidity above 95%.

• Press the Red push button, Red LED will switch on.
• Keeping the push button pressed, adjust the sensitivity control knob by gradually advancing it clockwise till it detects the desired metal when the sensor of the metal detector approaches the metal under detection.
• Detector is now ready for use.
• Push button should be kept pressed during search operation.
• When the battery voltage is low a continuous alarm is given when the push button is pressed even in absence of metal. This indicates that the battery voltage is low and requires to be replaced, in case of dry battery or charged.

Battery Charger

• Connect the plug of the battery charger to 240 volts AC.50 HZ main supply and insert the plug into the "CHARGE" socket provided (on the detector) for charging.
• The Green LED will glow to indicate that charging process is "ON".
• The Red LED will glow when charging is complete.
• The battery can be charged between 8 to 12 hours depending on the condition of battery (DC Voltage).
• The detector should remain in the charger slot when not in use to ensure that the battery is always under charge even if the Green LED flashes, since the charger has auto cut feature.
• While charging the batteries of the detector the contacts of the detector should contact with the charger leaf spring contacts. This will be confirmed if the "Green" charger LED is on.

IMPORTANT

• The detector should be placed in the charger slot the knob facing outwards. The battery will get damaged in case the detector is inserted in the charger slot in the reverse direction.
