Problems of pendants for hoists and cable control for machinery have become a thing of the past. Now, the highly cost-effective TH-IR/12 BEAMER fail-safe remote control system offers an economical alternative to previous cable-limited controls.

HOW IT WORKS


The transmitter uses an infra-red beam to send control commands, in secure coded form to the receiver. The receiver decodes and verifies the command message, and passes it on to the output relays.

System reliability is achieved by the use of a highly redundant double processor digital module in both the transmitter and receiver. Every remote control system has its own secure system address as a protection against interference. Consequently, several transmitters can be used at the same time, independently of each other.


THE TRANSMITTER


The transmitter is designed to transmit 14 universal commands. The individual keys can be linked into function groups via the coding circuits. Depending on the specific application the following operationg modes are available:

  • 3 drives, each 2 stage(3X2-0-2) & 2 individual functions

  • 2 drives each 2 stage (2X2-0-2) & 6 individual function

  • 1 drive, 2 stage

  • 14 individual functions.

Labeling of the keyboard may be changed to accommodate specific requirements. Unauthorized use of the transmitter is prevented by mean of an electronic lock for which various switch-on key codes can be preselected.

Like other ELEKTROMAG - THEMEG fail safe remote control systems, this transmitter also has a panic button for On/Emergency Off.


THE RECEIVER


The receiver is designed for universal applications on a number of operating voltages. Controloutput is via industrial relaysa (415/16A) with AMP connectors.

The electronic circuit and the relays are all on a single PCB, housed in a robust metal case. The infra-red sensor is external and positioned for optimum reception. To extend the range a second infra red sensor can be added.
