Elektromag-Metool range of Sliprings are produced in phosphor bronze with moulded polyester DMC Insulation, each ring being fitted with two copper graphite brushes held in contact by a self adjusting spring-loaded caliper type brushholder. The assemblies are suitable for 100 rpm max. If required, polished silver plated rings can be supplied to 400 microns thickness together with silver graphite brushes for data, voice or video transmission, telemetry, etc.

Air gaps and creep distances are in broad compliance with BS 5424 Part 1 (IEC 158) at 500 volts. Slipring friction (excluding mounting arrangement, etc.) is approx.0.073 nm per ring.

Elektromag-Metool Slipring Columns are manufactured from heavy duty steel spinnings and fabrications, incorporating sealed for life enclosures manufactured generally in accordance with IP65 and are suitable for continuous rotation. A simple peg with adequate clearance should be used to rotate the housing via the drive connection and cable feed to housing should be via flexible cable or conduit. All steel components zinc plated with yellow chromate passivation.
